A Froggy Fairy Tale
A True Frog's Tale... Ribbit
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful Frog Princess who lived in Indiana. This princess had a great love for froggy creatures in all colors, shapes, and sizes. The princess soon realized that many other friends and acquaintances had the same love of frogs and they, too, were gathering all different types and varieties of frog collectibles. Some even had live frogs in their kingdoms...
The Frog Pond Is Founded
The Princess thought how grand it would be if all these fellow frog collectors could somehow be united and share their love of frogs through a newsletter. Thus the work ensued. So it was that in 1985 the Princess in Indiana founded the "Frog Pond" International Frog Collectors Club, and so proclaimed that her
newsletter be called "Ribbit, Ribbit." Over time, the membership grew into the hundreds. Who knew there were so many of us?
The Frog Pond Is Passed On
But, after sixteen years of hard labor sending out the word to all froggy members, the Princess grew weary and had other tasks at hand. So, she began her search to find another to take over her precious work. In January 2002, in a land far north, a fair lady was found to take on the labor of her love. Coincidentally, she was known throughout the north land as the "Frog Lady." And it was proclaimed that the Frog Collectors Club known as the "Frog Pond" would be passed on and become from that day forward "Beyond the Pond..." International Frog Collectors Club.
And Once Again... The Frog Pond Is Passed On
After more than five years of even more hard labor, the Minnesota Frog Lady grew weary and began searching for someone to pass on this labor of love she had inherited. In the warmer land of the south, she found Linda and Toadly Frogs who was, herself, a long standing member of Beyond The Pond and from Missouri. Linda hopes that all will welcome her and have patience with her and this newfound venture. If anyone has suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact her.
Linda hopes that you, too, will join her and many other frog lovers and jump in "Beyond the Pond...."
